Robert Howard (New York) joined KKR in 2011 and is the head of the equity strategies group of KKR, where he is leading the build-out of an equities-focused public market alternative investment effort. Prior to joining KKR, he spent over 15 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was promoted to Managing Director in 2003 and most recently was the Head of Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies (GSPS) Americas equities/credit investment businesses. In his time in GSPS, he had ten years of portfolio management experience focused on the Americas, non-Japan Asia, and global relative value. Mr. Howard holds an A.B., magna cum laude, in Applied Mathematics in Economics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, the latter where he graduated as a Baker Scholar and received the John Loeb Award for academic achievement in finance. In addition, he is a CFA charterholder.
