Mark Hoover

Mark recently served as co-founder and President of Acuitive， Inc.， whose clients have included Brocade， StratumOne， Alteon WebSystems， and NetScreen. In his role at Acuitive， Mark often served as interim CEO or acting Vice President of Marketing for his client companies. Acuitive developed extensive techniques and processes to validate customer and market demand and to develop winning product and business strategies. Over a period of ten years， Acuitive helped its clients achieve over $30 billion in exit valuations.

Mark has been involved in product development， business development， and marketing in the networking industry for more than 25 years. He has been involved in the technical and market development of many networking technologies， including 10BASE-T， routing， FDDI， ATM， Ethernet switching， firewall， Internet traffic management， and edge WAN switching.

Before launching Acuitive， Mark was a senior executive at SynOptics/Bay Networks and also worked at AT&T Bell Laboratories and AT&T Computer Systems. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and three small children， and recovering from spending time with his three small children by exercising， following the trials and tribulations of the Philadelphia Phillies， and managing his fantasy baseball team.
