Abraham Soquar

Abraham Soquar received an MA （with honors） in Economics and History in 1999 and a Masters degree in Economic and Social History in 2000， both from Oxford University. Abraham is a member of the Adam Smith Institute， an economic think tank， and is an SFA Registered Securities and Financial Derivatives Representative. He also speaks fluent Tigrinya. He joined HarbourVest from J.P. Morgan， where he was an analyst in the Media Mergers & Acquisitions Group. Abraham Soquar joined the Firm’s London-based subsidiary in 2002 to focus on primary and secondary investments in Europe and other non-U.S. markets. He was promoted to associate in 2003 and senior associate in 2006. Most recently， Abraham transferred to HarbourVest’s Hong Kong-based subsidiary where he is responsible for primary and secondary investments in Asia Pacific and other non-U.S. markets.
